In fact, a few years ago, a study was published. It showed the results of a 4-week study involving 40 male subjects. As you’d expect from a university-level study, it was a well-controlled double-blind study.
By double-blind, I mean that there were 2 groups of subjects, and none of the subjects knew which group they were in. Neither did the administrators. The 2 groups were the Irvingia group, and the non-Irvingia group. The Irvingia group had 28 of the 40 subjects, and the non-Irvingia group had the remaining 12.
So, for 4 weeks, the subjects had to take their doses, whether it was Irvingia or not.
At the end of the 4-week trial, it was found that the 28 who were given Irvingia had lost significantly more weight than those in the non-Irvingia group.
And, since Irvingia is a fiber, you can expect that the subjects who took it also benefited from supplemental fibre.
And of course, there’s Doctor Oz., who mentioned Irvingia. In fact, I think it’s primarily his mentioning of it that really sparked the interest in African mango extract.
African Mango Diet and Fitness Tips
As for a lot of the tips I can give you, you’ve probably heard them all before: eat a good diet, get lots of exercise, consult with your doctor, and so on. And yes, all those are good tips, and you should consult with a physician and follow their advice.
One tip that I keep mentioning to people is to try exercising using HIIT, which is high-intensity interval training. Basically, in aerobics, you start at a medium intensity, and gradually move up, until you’re doing your maximum intensity.
So, if you wanted to measure this in one-minute intervals, you’d probably warm up for 5 to 15 minutes. Let’s say you start at a level 5 out of 10. Then, at minute 16 or 17, you’d move up one level. Then, at 17 or 18, you’d move up another level.
Then, you eventually get to your maximum intensity level. Try to hold that for a minute, and then, you can drop down to level 5, or even lower.
People have found that this type of interval training has really helped them get into shape (and of course, lose weight) a lot faster. You can get more done in a 20- or 30-minute interval workout than you might in an extended, slow, boring 1 hour “jog”.
So, try that when you work out.
Also, try working out on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning. That should help your body to more readily tap into your fat stores.

First is African Mango Plus. This one is probably the brand that’s most promoted on the Internet. The only thing I’d caution about this one is that it has caffeine in it, so if you have a caffeine sensitivity, it might not be your first choice.
Second is perhaps the most popular brand: Pure African Mango. I’m honestly not sure if this one has caffeine in it, but I’m sure that, if you were really concerned, you could fine the ingredients.
The third one is Integra-Lean Irvingia. From looking at the ingredients, it seems that this one only has Irvingia in it, and a patented form of it. It might be the most potent of the three.
