Off to a Good Start
My company was just awarded a construction project on the other side of the world. We are one of the few companies in the world that offer this type of construction service, and it was very exciting to receive this contract.
As we prepared I realized that some of the construction equipment we needed we would have to ship over there. It was specialized equipment and without it we couldn’t do the job. I figured moving the equipment was going to take up a large portion of our moving expenses, but I was wrong.
I found that international ocean shipping is very reasonable, even for heavy, oversized equipment. The delivery time was perfect, and the cost was remarkable. After reviewing the costs for the large equipment I had them quote me on everything else we needed to ship. Surprisingly, the entire shipment was nearly half of what we budgeted. We are off to a good start.
